Dads and Refugees

**Special Sunday Post:

Happy Father’s Day!

But wait, there’s more! Happy World Refugee Day!

Today, while we honor our fathers, let’s also honor the courageous men, women and children who are sojourners in our world.

Pray for their health and safety, and for the healing of their homelands.

And pray a special prayer for the fatherless refugees. We celebrate today how valuable and wonderful it is to have a dad. But so many refugees have lost fathers and husbands. So today is also a day when we remember their loss, pray for the prevention of violent conflict, and look forward with hope to the healing that is to come.

May we become communities that welcome strangers and protect the weak and vulnerable.

Happy holiday(s)!
